All Visitors, Service Providers and Employees of the Ingham County Jail must still wear a mask, in keeping with MIOSHA recommendations for congregate and health care settings.

The Visitor’s Lobby of the Correctional Facility can be easily accessed from the Cedar Street (exit 66) of US 127.  Proceed east on Cedar Street to Buhl Avenue.

Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
5:30 PM to 10:00 PM


Holiday Closures

The Lobby will be closed for general public visitation on the following County holidays:

 New Year's Eve  Labor Day
 New Year's Day  Veterans Day
 Martin Luther King Day  Thanksgiving Day
 President's Day  Friday Following Thanksgiving
 Good Friday  Christmas Eve
 Memorial Day  Christmas Day
 Independence Day  

Scheduling Visits

All visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.  Visitation is on a first come, first served basis. Video visitation is now available directly through Securus Video Visitation:

Professional Visitation

Clergy, attorneys, medical social services, parole/probation, police personnel and other associated agencies may visit and/or interview inmates face-to-face during the course of normal working hours.  Personnel using this privilege must be able to show proper identification.

Required for Visits

  1. Valid driver's license, government issued identification card of other valid picture identification.
  2. Home Address.
  3. Valid telephone number.
