Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Ingham County Sheriff Office Honor Guard to assist the Public Service Community in providing the highest level of Honor Guard services through professionalism and respect.

Services offered include:

The Ingham County Honor Guard was formed as an Official Memorial Unit of the Ingham County Sheriff Office. Through the years the Honor Guard has grown to a fourteen (14) person unit. These men and women have committed themselves to support and honor officers killed in the line of duty and their families. This Unit has helped to bring the humanity of law enforcement and the losses involved to the forefront of the public’s attention.

Over the years, members of the Ingham County Honor Guard unit have supported funeral and memorial services across Michigan. The Unit has also attended National Police Week activities in Washington, DC.

This Unit has operated at very little cost to Ingham County, utilizing donations and fundraisers to maintain uniforms and equipment. Through the support of generous donations, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will continue to honor members of the law enforcement community and their families who have paid, and will pay, the ultimate sacrifice.
