Correctional facility inmates and officers are served by the Forgotten Man Ministries, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Forgotten Man Ministries was founded in 1966 and serves 35 county jails with a staff of 42 Chaplains. The Ingham County Correctional Facility has had a full time Chaplain since 1993.
The Ministry, which is officially recognized by the Michigan Sheriff's Association, is supported by local churches, businesses, and individuals. The Jail Chaplain coordinates the ministry, supervision of volunteers, local church and provides a comprehensive spiritual program.
The program includes:

- Bible Studies
- Individual Bible counseling
- Religious videos and tapes
- Religious literature distribution
- Bible correspondence courses
- Release follow-up
